As part of the existing technology partnership, PTC has now officially certified the enhanced Windchill connector for use with Windchill+. This allows both existing Windchill customers who want to migrate their PLM application to the cloud and new customers to use our integration technology to integrate Windchill+ into their IT infrastructure using the interface technology provided by PTC. This saves them the trouble of developing and maintaining dozens of different integrations.
“With the certification of the Windchill+ connector, we are deepening our long-standing technology partnership with PROSTEP,” emphasizes David Franke, Strategic Alliances Director at PTC. “The use of the proven OpenPDM integration technology offers our customers the advantage of being able to switch to Windchill+ very quickly, as they can integrate the cloud solution into their existing IT infrastructure right from the start using the released APIs. That is why we recommend they use the PROSTEP solution.”
PROSTEP enhanced the Windchill connector as part of a specific customer project in the automotive sector, which involved connecting Windchill+ to a 3rd party PLM system.
The enhanced connector is already in productive use at a customer’s site and is now available to all PTC customers. The joint marketing plans of PTC and PROSTEP include listing it in the Solution Finder on the PTC website so that it is easier to find worldwide.
